Real Kids Right Now (RKRN) Story:
• Male 14 years
• ADOPTIVE HOME NEEDED

Sometimes the heartbreak in the story just speaks for itself, and this is one of them.

This young man has come to us now at least 6 times-we've been tracking parts of his story since 2022 In a recent heartfelt conversation, we had with his case worker this is what we learned....

This teen is very bright and capable of deep conversation.
The case worker was formerly a Lutheran minister and started talking to the teen about Reformation history and Martin Luther when they were
driving not too long ago. The case worker said he apologized to the teen for talking about something boring, but the teen said he was
interested and enjoyed the conversation!

This teen likes to dress well! It's important to him to look nice and to take good care of his things as well. The case worker said he's not sure how he does it, but the kiddo always manages to present himself well. The teen has a deep sense of right and wrong and genuinely wants to do right. He has good self-awareness and is able to articulate what causes him to feel frustrated or dysregulated.

He needs caregivers who are willing to be somewhat laid back and conversational with him, he is very smart and wants to have conversations and have things explained to him, and is most often very respectful when adults are willing to engage in those ways
with him rather than make demands and harsh corrections.

But here's what broke our hearts most - this teen has always wanted to be adopted but has recently been saying he no longer wants to be adopted, that they should just send him to a group home. He's lost hope that someone will be willing to step in and help him meet his potential to be the incredible young man his case worker sees the potential for him to be.

The case worker shared, "He is the kind of kid who could change the world if he could just find the right person to support him."

Church-please bear this burden alongside us, please help us find someone to say yes and honor this child's desire for a place to call home, for people to call his.

Please pray. Please share this need. Please consider your role.
